We have had lots of adventures during May. The first major one and probably Mady's least favorite was when she had to go to the hospital to get her teeth worked on.
She really wasn't too excited about it, but it was nice that Ray was able to be with her through a lot of it since he was a nurse at Gunnison. She was trying to be so brave it was pretty cute.
She really liked her "pajama shirt" that they gave her to wear.
I even got to take a nap while she was getting her teeth worked on! Score!
Mady did really great and did fine coming out of her anesthesia. However, I was another story. After I woke up from my nap, I felt awful, I was having cold sweats, shaking, and when I tried to stand, I collapsed. For some reason my blood sugar had plummeted. Since we were waiting for Mady to wake up anways they took care of me as well. Everything was fine, I just needed more sugars in my diet. :) Which is not a problem at all!
Ray and I have tried to be more healthy (Ray more than I, since my blood sugar became a problem). But here is our FAVORITE foods:
This my friends is the most delicious soup ever! The broth? Water with some boulion cubes and a dash of milk. Mhmmm I want some right now!
We've also been making a ton of salads. And now I can't feel bad about eating poppyseed dressing! Nothing better in the summer than a delicious salad.
My other favorite salad, greek. Man I think I could eat this everyday and not tire of it. I love me some feta and vinegar!
Its been wonderful living next to my family. And they probably love it even more. We go to Grandma Wayman's library all the time.

And to Grandma Wayman's house too. Mady just loves watching her shows with Carson. "He loves watching Curious George, just like me, Mom!"
Some of our amazing friends were able to come down for a weekend in May to visit and play with us. Mady was in heaven!

She loves playing with Jonas and Gwen so much. And we love playing with their parents!

Ray and Annie signed up for the 10k and I for the 5k in Ephraim. They did so great! And I"m just happy I finished without stopping!
I won't lie, it was pretty rough for me; especially pushing these two kids.

I'm just happy Carson slept the whole time. And a note to self - three sports bra's just aren't enough. :(

The other best part about living in Manti, is living 3 blocks away from my Grandparents. Whenever my cousins and their kids come visit, we always have to go visit.
Mady just loves playing with her second cousins. And we love visiting with family. Win, win!
Now that its summer, we have a lot of chill days at our house. This usually means, Mady is doing something like painting a cute picture to go on our fridge,

Or picking dandelions for me to put in a vase.

One day I'll tell her they are weeds, but for now its just too cute.

And then I tote Carson around in his bumbo trying to get things done.
But most of my days end like this - kids half dressed and laundry and dishes not done. Someday that will change...I'm hoping its when Carson gets a little older where he can entertain himself. :)
And in closing of this post, I will just leave you with two things that could be called ironic.
1. I took the next three pictures within days of each other.
Crazy Utah weather, why I have to ask? Just why?
2. For some people it may be ridiculous when you consider a date as a 45 minute trip to Wal-Mart without the kids. But for us, its the norm.
