Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum

While the parents were away on their second trip to Lake Powell, Ray and I came up for some interviews I had and stayed the night. Before we left, our friends, Anna and Russell, invited us to the Dinosaur Museum with them. Mady had such a blast with their two kids, Jonas and Gwen.

 Before we went into the dinosaur part of the museum they had a science area for the kids we thought we'd check out. Mady loved playing with the drums. Such a natrual, eh?

 Mady was just in awe over everything in the museum. She wanted to know what everything was and touch everything as well. Too bad I'm not knowledgable in prehistoric things, I didn't even know half of the things in there. It was also really cool for Ray and I. We hadn't been there since we were kids and they sure have made it look amazing.

 They even had this create your own dinosaur play area for kids. It was pretty cool.

 The kids favorite part was playing in the water/sand exhibit.

 

 See anything wrong with this picture? Her pants maybe? Yes, she was having so much fun she peed her pants. So glad I brought a change of undies and pants. But I forgot her socks, and the pee leaked into her shoes, which made them smell wonderful.

 Ray and Russell even had a grand ole time playing in the sand.

 At the end, there was a place for the kids to dig for dinosaur bones. They sure had fun playing there. It was hard to get Mady to leave.

 Because the kids wanted to go right to the sand/water exhibit, we had skipped a little part of the museum. So we went back real quick.

 We wanted pictures in front of the huge shark. Ray wasn't too thrilled about it, but he did it for me. Man I love that boy.

We sure had such a great time. Thanks so much Anna and Russell for inviting us! Let's go again soon.

Iron County Fair

 

 

Mady and I decided to join our friends, the Munks, and head on over to the Iron County Fair. Mady had such a blast. I bought her some tickets to ride the rides, we watched the talent shows, ate delicious food, and just had a blast. She absolutly loved the little petting zoo with all the farm animals.

I think Mady's favorite part was digging for gold. In a kiddy pool they had filled it with woodchips and coins. She loved trying to find all the money she could. She would probably stay there all day if I let her. She was quite proud of the 15 cents she found.

Mady loved riding all the rides. We rode the merry-go-round twice, she loved it so much.

 

While we went to find the bathroom, Mady saw the little kiddy train and just had to ride it.

I let Mady choose which rides she wanted to ride. She first chose the big slide. She loved that one a lot we had to go twice. She then chose the boat ride. I was a little nervous on that one because she kept on leaning over trying to touch the water. Luckily we had no accidents.

The next ride Mady chose was the cars. She was so glad she was able to ride with another little girl. She thought the cars were so cool, I couldn't get her off of it. I only had one ticket left (it costed 3), but the guy who was running it let her go again just for that one ticket. This time, she wanted to be in the back of her car.

It was hard to get her to leave but I wasn't about to pay another $20 for more tickets. We weren't even out of the parking lot before she was gone. We sure had a fun time while Ray was at work. Can't wait till next year!
