Ok, so I know I have been the worst blogger ever. But we have been so busy lately with everything that has been going on. There will be more posts to come about the more personal, sensitive things. However, here's a little bit of the fun, awesome things that have been happening in our lives.
We have greatly enjoyed the nights were we have amazingly, delicious meals with our friends and family. This night just happened to be the bestest. Breakfast at 9:00 at night was the best.
Being home all day with Mady has made me become extra creative in finding things to do. This, however, is nothing out of the norm for me. After I workout in the morning, I usually start cooking my grand dinners. This is how I chop onions.
It's days like these where I feel so blessed to have such awesome neighbors who have kids Mady's age. Sometimes I think when its just Mady and I, she goes crazy. Its so great to have friends over for her to play with.
We have also been up to ALOT of this. There were times when Mady would do so good for a few days in a row, and then have a horrible day of peeing every single time in her panties. However, I am glad to announce we have not had an accident in a week! And on top of that, she has been dry during the night for the past few nights. So last night I put panties on her, and she was dry this morning! I feel like such a proud Mom!
Mady has become quite the little Mommy. She loves to do everything I do. Cooking has become something she always has to help with. Its been difficult because she think she can just whip up an egg by herself or pour milk. But we're learning.
We have been given so much zuccinni, I finally decided to do something about it. I had four more cooking in the oven when we took this picture. Not to mention six more loafs (that can be made) were frozen.
I threw this picture in cause it cracks me up. Just sitting cross legged watching Dora giving me that "Really Mom?" look. I can't believe how big she is getting. Makes me sad.
On conference weekend, the Martel family all went down to St. George for the marathon Papa Joe runs every year. We went down early Friday morning to get our shopping done, as well as tire Mady out so Papa Joe will have a good night's rest before his race. We took Mady to the Splash Park, where she had such a blast.
Mady really wanted to go to the Temple, so off we went. We also went to the visitor's center, which was so awesome. Mady really enjoyed looking at all the pictures, hearing Jesus speak to her, and watching the movies. She sang 'I Love to See the Temple' song at least a dozen times. It was so adorable.
The next morning we all got up to see Papa Joe run across the finish line. His time was around 3hours and 10 min. He did really well and we are so proud of him!
That night, while the parents went to their runner's dinner, us kids went out to eat at my favorite restruant - Buca di peppo. It was sooo good! We then decided to go up to Dixie Rock. We had been telling Mady the whole time it was a castle. She kept saying she wanted to see the castle. The ironic thing about it was that while we were up there, there was a wedding shoot and prom pictures. So there were all these girls in gorgeous dresses - which Mady thought were Princesses.
We all had such a fun time playing in the pool - especially Mady. She loved every second of it.
We've had a lot of fun lately, as well as stress. But more on that later. :)
