Mady's Dance Recital

Mady had her dance recital this month. She did great! She was beyond exstatic that I let her wear make-up for her recital. She keeps asking me when her next recital is and reminding me that she can wear make-up again for it.
During her first dance, her bow that goes on the front on her leotard, fell off. So during most of her dance, she was trying to figure out how to put it back on; as you can tell in the picture below. She is the third from the left.
At one moment, she looks at me and starts to walk towards me to try and give me her bow. But, she finally got my message to just throw it on the floor and dance.
Here she is hugging her friend Chloe. So cute.
During her second dance, she got to speak in the microphone. I only remember the last part of what she said, something about "watch closely and we'll amaze."
Now that her bow was pinned on better, she did a great job dancing.
The cute girl next to her and the very end, Kimber, was so funny! She made up her own dance, but my goodness it was just great. Here she is doing a somersault.
Mady picked her weggies throughout the entire dance. Maybe next time I'll make sure she wears panties.
She did such a great job! I can't wait till her next dance recital.
Tiffany also takes lessons from the same teacher. She did an amazing job! She is such a talented dancer.
I mean, I don't think I"ve been able to do the splits since my elementary days.
I tried to get Mady to do her splits, but she just kept saying, "I don't know how." Little liar.
I'm so glad I put Mady in dance. She loves it so much and gets so excited when its dance day.

Carson's Newborn Pictures

I'm so glad I finally got Carson's newborns done. I waited too long to do them so he was a bit of a pill, but at least their done. My cousin, Lyndi, did them for us. She is so amazing! If ever you need someone do to your pictures, just ask. She was so patient with him, and it was worth it. Here are some of my favorites. Enjoy!

Thanks again Lyndi, you did such an amazing job!

February Fun

"Motherhood is not a hobby, it is a calling...It is not something to do if you can squeeze time in. It is what God gave you time for."
This was the first thing I read in the March Ensign, and it was so perfect. Being a mother is hard at times and down right exhausting. And having two kids hasn't made it any easier. But it has been the most rewarding thing and these two kids have blessed my life for the better.
At one month this cutie is still in newborn clothes. I'm still trying to get him to eat more...but honestly, I have no idea how to do that...
And since my kid won't eat a ton, I finally started looking into donating all this milk I have been pumping. I had to get tested and give blood, but I finally was accepted to donate to the NICU's. So here was my first batch that I sent out.
Yep, that is 16 gallons. Amazing, no? You may now call me Heifer Shay.

For Valentines Day we were up north spending time with Ray's family. We didn't have anything planned for the day, so we called up our good friend's Anna and Russell to see if they could play. So Mady wanted to make some Valentines for Gwen and Jonas. They turned out super cute and she was so proud.
Naketa bought Carson and Kaslo the same outfit a while ago. They now both fit in them and just look super cute. Cousin sleepovers are the best, especially in matching outfits.
Sometimes I just can't get over this face. He is just too cute for comfort! Even if he wakes up about 6+ times at night. Still love that face.
My Mom was helping babysitting for a family in the ward and I got to meet this cute chunk!
Would you believe there is only a few weeks difference between these two? Love it!
This month, we took Mady to her first movie at the theatre. She was super excited. We saw the Lego Movie, which was actually pretty awesome. She watched the whole thing and didn't have any problems.
We left Carson with my Mom. It was so nice to have some one on one time with Mady. And I'm sure she appreciated it too.
During February, Ray was gone to work trainings all day for two days and I didn't have a babysitter for this manly stud. So he got to come to work with Mommy. The first day, he did really good for the first 4 hours then we had to go home. So the second day I came prepared.
We're still adjusting to two, but it hasn't been as bad as I thought - especially with Mady. She has been my little helper with Carson. She loves to read him books. She read him one of her favorite books when she was little because she thought it would help him sleep longer at night.

She had heard me complaining and wanted to help. She is such a sweet girl, steadfast and stubborn, but she has such a tender heart. We love both of our kids and just can't get enough of them.
