4 Months and Counting

Its so crazy to believe that my little man is 4 months old now. Where has time gone??
Carson has been quite the little needy man. We still have yet to sleep more than 4 hours at night with this guy. To be frank, its just hard to do anything with this little man.
But this face makes it all worth it.
For work, I have taken him to Mady's preschool/daycare that is put on by Snow College. They do such a great job. Mady loves it, but Carson....well he just screams for a better part of day.
I go over every 3-4 hours to feed him or just when they call so I can help him calm down. He's quite the Momma's boy, which I don't mind a bit. I just feel bad for when I need people to watch him.
Thank goodness I work with amazing people who are super understanding and let me work from home when I need.
Even though it took us almost 2 years to get this little boy, I think God knew that we needed 3.5 years in between Mady and Carson.
Mady has been such a big help to Ray and I .
She loves Carson so much and is always willing to help me out when I need it.
Its nice to have her be so independent and older so that I can give Carson the attention he requires.
"Mom, he loves me so much. But I'm not his favorite because my boobies don't have milk."
I'm also super grateful for this man crush of mine. He has been so helpful and patient in dealing with all our longs nights and scream filled days. I'm not sure what I would do without him.
I guess with how high maintenance this little boy is, we can definietly say he is my son. Haha and if that doesn't do it, this picture of me and him next to each other will. ;)

Easter!

We had so much fun during Easter this year. We celebrated at the Wayman's again this year. As soon as we got there, we all gathered around the table to color eggs.

Mady thought this was the best thing ever.

She loved making her eggs look "oh so beautiful."

She did really good being patient and waiting till her eggs were dyed and dried.

And my sister Breanne took her coloring real seriously. Her eggs turned out great, along with Tiffany's!

The Easter Bunny sure makes things interesting for us when we wake up in the morning to find our baskets. Instead of hiding them inside, they are hidden outside and in the most craziest of places! Here is Tiffany trying to get her's down from one of the trees in our yard.
And here is Breanne, getting her's down for another tree.
Mady and I went searching for her basket. Looking in all the places we thought it could be.
Nope not in the sandbox....
"Where could it be?" Mady kept asking.
Maybe it's in the castle....
Hmmmm.....
"Mommy, I found it! Look I found it!"
She was beyond excited to find the Easter Bunny's basket and one that Grandma Wayman had given both her and Carson.
Just look at that face! She was just too happy.
We were really happy that the Easter Bunny brought Mady some awesome books and Doc McStuffin' shoes! And Grandma gave us sandbox toys!
After we found our baskets, we raced over to Ephraim's candy egg hunt at the baseball fields. Mady loved finding the candy and putting them in her bucket.
She was even sweet in showing other kids where candy was.
And of course we needed a picture with the pretend Easter Bunny!
Mady and Breanne showing off their buckets of candy from the hunt.
We then packed a lunch, grabbed our colored eggs, and headed out to Palisade Lake.
The kids had fun playing in the water. I thought it was way to cold, but apparently it was just fine for them!
Even Mady thought it was just right.
Mady was really excited to roll her eggs down the hill. We even found an old gutter so help them down the hill.
Ray and I just had fun watching Mady and the kids have a blast rolling their eggs and playing at the Lake. Its funny how its usually the little things in life that make you the happiest.

Carson is 2 mo...Nope 3 Months!

This kid turned 2 months old at the end of February. Can you believe? Time just flies. He isn't getting any better sleeping at night. We wake up at least 4-6 times for an hour each time. It is quite exhausting.
But this cute guy does make it worth it. We just sit and watch Netflix...or well he listens and I watch. He goes to sleep pretty easily once he's done eating. But after he's down I have to pump. Which is why it takes a whole hour each time to feed and pump.
On March 2nd, this handsome boy made his first appearance at our ward in Manti. We only stayed for the first hour, but it was just what we needed.
He takes after his Daddy - both are just too handsome.

Mady is getting quite good at drawing people. Here is our family - I know its hard to see, but you can make out four people. Too cute to not take a picture. :)

We also took Carson in for his shots in the middle of March. He has been sleeping most of the day, which was super great. I got a lot done. :)
Despite how colic-y this kid has been, There are lots of moments when he just smiles and looks at me that makes it all completely worth it.
Or when he holds on tight while I put him to sleep.
One of those small moments happened on March 14th when Carson laughed for the first time. It was just what I needed to hear after a long and overwhelming day.

Mady is such a big help to me. While I ran downstairs to switch the wash and bring some clean laundry up, I asked Mady to watch Carson for me. This is what I came back to. She is just too sweet.
Happy 3 months to this smiley boy! I love how he responds more and more each day.
His colic is getting better everyday. However, if you ask my husband, you'll get a different answer.
I'm sad he is growing up too fast, and yet I love each new phase. But there are moments such as below, that I wish I could just go back to and stop time for a bit. Just so I can soak it all up.
